Tropical Rock Lobster
For over 60 years MG Kailis has been supplying high quality spiny rock lobster to customers throughout Australia and to international markets, particularly in Asia and North America.
Tropical rock lobster Panulirus ornatus is distinguished by its unique colours and striking appearance and all our lobster is hand-caught by divers, with no nets, traps, bait or bycatch.
Sourced from remote waters
Our lobster is caught in some of the most pristine, untouched waters in the world, along the far northern coast of Far North Queensland, Torres Strait Islands and Papua New Guinea. We’ve developed longstanding relationships with local communities and a logistics network of holding tanks, boats, barges, small aircraft and trucks so we can deliver the catch to our 4,000sqm lobster export facility in Cairns.
Diving into the wild
On the far northern waters of Queensland, from Cooktown to the top of Cape York, we have a fleet of more than twenty dive boats and four motherships. Here, there are opportunities for adventurous divers and crew to live, work and explore some of Australia’s most beautiful reefs. Using only the most sustainable methods, our divers and crew source this rare and magnificent lobster with care, so people can enjoy it all over the world.
